OWATONNA, Minn. – HomeTown Credit Union is pleased to announce that longtime team member, Anthony Kozelka, has transitioned into a new role as Mortgage Originator, serving members in the Owatonna community. This internal advancement highlights HomeTown’s commitment to developing employee talent and ensuring members receive guidance from trusted, experienced professionals.

Anthony has been a valued part of the HomeTown team for over 10 years, previously serving as a Member Relationship Builder where he assisted countless members with personal loans, new accounts, and day-to-day financial needs. His strong foundation in member service and lending makes him uniquely prepared to support homebuyers and homeowners in navigating the mortgage process.

“Anthony has built strong, meaningful relationships with our Owatonna members over the years,” said Jake Asmussen, VP of Lending at HomeTown Credit Union. “His transition into the Mortgage Originator role is a natural step, and we’re excited to see him continue helping members—now with one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives: purchasing a home.”

In his new position, Anthony will work with first-time buyers, experienced homeowners, and anyone exploring refinancing options. He will guide members from pre-qualification to closing, providing clarity, education, and personalized support every step of the way. Members who have worked with Anthony in the past can expect the same welcoming, trustworthy service—now focused on helping them achieve their homeownership goals.
