HomeTown Spirit Day

Every year on Columbus Day, team members from our HomeTown Credit Union offices take part in HomeTown Spirit Day, the do good project helping those in need. This includes thanking the local police departments, fire departments and first responders as well as outreach projects in the community.

2017’s outreach is hygiene kits that HomeTown Credit Union team members will assemble and distribute to local community shelters on Columbus Day. Donations are being accepted until October 6. Items needed include:

  • Band-Aids®
  • Bar soap
  • Combs and hair brushes
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Gel-style deodorant
  • Lotion
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Shaving cream and razors (mens and ladies)
  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • Wash cloths

Unopened donations can be dropped off at all HomeTown Credit Union locations, Semcac in Owatonna, the Owatonna Chamber of CommerceThree Rivers Community Action in Faribault and the Faribault Chamber of Commerce.

The hygiene kits will be distributed on HomeTown Spirit Day by HomeTown Credit Union team members to community organizations including Steele County Food Shelf, Project Home, Semcac—Community Action Agency, Three Rivers Community Action, Faribault WorkForce Center and more. Learn More
